2 Days Mikumi national park Game Drive Experience

This Mikumi tour is organized by Connect African Safaris from Dar es Salaam offices. The tour offers you the opportunity to visit the Mikumi National Park which has over time progressed to be a wildlife safari destination filled with amazing activities. Located 283 km west of Dar es Salaam, the park was established in 1964 and up to now is widely considered the country’s 4^th largest national park.

Day 1: Dar-es-Salam – Mikumi National Park

• Meet at your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 5:00 am.
• Transfer to Mikumi NP via Morogoro town.

Our tour guide/driver will drive you from Dar–es- salaam to Mikumi National Park. This road journey will take about 6 hours, giving you a good view of African village and township life along the road. You will stop for lunch at a restaurant in Morogoro Town. After lunch you will continue with the journey to Mikumi NP where you will check in at your selected lodge for refreshment & then proceed with game drives till sunset.

What will you see during game drive in Mikumi NP?

At this park you will get an opportunity to see the most fascinating animals in the park like huge African elephants, king of the jungle Lion, Wild dog, Zebras, Giraffes, Impalas, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, one of the biggest antelope in the world, the Eland, Hartebeest, Crocodile, Lizards, and other residents. The Park also has over 300 species of birds that have been observed.

Late afternoon you will do game drive with sunset view and watch the animals drink water at hippo pool. It will offer you an opportunity to explore and see the wildlife in their natural habitat. Some of the prominent features to seek after in the game drive include the artificial hippo pools filled with huge group of hippos.

Day 2:Mikumi National Park – Dar es Salaam

Early morning game drive at Mikumi Park until about 10:00 AM.

This tour starts very early while animals are still active looking for food and water. Experience the morning life of African wildlife. Afterwards you will exit the national park and begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam.  You will enjoy additional game drive en-route the road that cuts through the national park.

Elephant, Lion, Wild dog, Zebras, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Eland, Hartebeest plus others.
