3 Days Mikumi Tanzania Safari
Tour Plan
Overview
If you are looking to extend your wonderful Africa Safari experience combined with Zanzibar beach holidays, then this tour is a great product for you. It is one of our most popular tours with safari goers coming and going to Zanzibar and Tanzania in general.
Dar es Salaam (Dar), the commercial hub of Tanzania, is only two hours away from Zanzibar by ferry (watercraft) and 20 minutes away by air. This makes this tour an automatic choice for many travellers wanting to combine beach holidays with wildlife photography tours.
Mikumi national park itself is about six (6) hours drive from Dar, with the road journey quite comfortable in a 4*4 jeep or Toyota Alphard vehicles. The journey gives you an authentic view of life and landscapes of Tanzania and Africa in general of you meander through towns such as Kibaha and Morogoro having a road view of life in African rural and peri-urban centres.
With 3,230 square kilometers coverage, Mikumi National Park is a well-established national park in Tanzania’s southern tour circuit. The park is well-known for its population of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, elands, antelopes, Kudus, wildebeest, and lions. At the Mikumi Hippo pool, you will see not only hippos but crocodiles and birds.
As you reach Mikumi region, before even reaching the park entry gates, animals by the side will announce your arrival. See lots of Zebras, Implalas and Giraffes grazing a few meters away from the road.
