3 Days Serengeti National park and Ngorongoro Crater Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival and Evening Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Pick up from the hotel in Arusha, you will be greeted by your safari guide who will assist you with your luggage and provide a brief overview of the itinerary. After this, you will embark on a scenic drive to Serengeti National Park, which is approximately a 6/5-hour journey depending on road conditions. During the drive, you may have the opportunity to see local villages and landscapes unique to Tanzania. Upon reaching Serengeti National Park, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive. This is an excellent time to spot wildlife as many animals are more active during cooler parts of the day. Look out for lions, elephants, giraffes, and various antelope species. After your game drive, you will head to Kontiki Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Half day Game Drive in Serengeti and head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast at Kontiki Camp, enjoy a half-day game drive in the Serengeti to enjoy in the park while continuing your wildlife viewing. The Serengeti is renowned for its vast savannahs and diverse ecosystems, making it one of the best places in Africa for spotting wildlife. In the early afternoon, you will depart from Serengeti National Park towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This journey includes en-route game viewing opportunities where you might spot more wildlife along the way. Arrive in your accommodation in Ngorongoro and having the dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Departure

Early after breakfast at your Camp, go for an exciting tour of Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Africa's most famous wildlife areas due to its rich biodiversity within a unique volcanic caldera. You will descend into the crater floor where you can expect to see large populations of animals including zebras, wildebeests, elephants, and possibly even black rhinos. The tour typically lasts until early afternoon. After completing your crater tour, begin your journey back to Arusha for hotel stay or flight departure
