4 Days 3 Night Northern Tanzania Private Safari

Today we begin our safari program with our destination being Tarangire national park. Our guide will pick you up from your Hotel in Arusha in the safari jeep and head to Tarangire National Park. During the 2.5-hour drive you will enjoy the beautiful nature, varied landscapes and local villages. When we arrive in Tarangire you will do afternoon game drives for the rest of the day. You will also enjoy a picnic lunch near the river while watching animals drink water.
Tarangire is known for its large elephant population, baobab trees and tree-climbing African pythons. The park takes its name from the river that flows across the length of the park. After the trip you will be driven to the nearby selected accommodation, for evening leisure, hot dinner, and overnight.

Today we go to the famous Serengeti.

You have breakfast and then drive to Serengeti National Park. It takes about 3 hours drive through Ngorongoro conservation highlands before descending the western semi-arid zone of Olduvai Gorge (the cradle for humanity). You will stop at the Museum where Dr. Leakey discovered the first human remains (dating back to 3.6 million years ago). After the brief tour at the Museum, you will have lunch and drive to Serengeti.

Enjoy afternoon game drives in the endless plains of the Serengeti. The plains are full with all types of wildlife in this animal kingdom. You will surely see at least one of the many lion prides of the Serengeti as they patrol their kingdom.

After breakfast, you will spend a full day of game drives in the areas where the migration of animals takes place where you may encounter the migration consisting of 2 million plus animals. They also attract the attention of predators like cheetah, lions and leopards and you may be able to see a band of lion’s gang up for a hunt. Here you will get an opportunity to see the big five. You will exit the Serengeti in the afternoon to head to the lodge near Lake Manyara for Dinner and overnight.

You will be picked up early in the morning after your breakfast and driven to Lake Manyara National Park for a half day of game drives. Here you will see the forest, the grassy floodplain, across the alkaline lake, to the jagged blue volcanic peaks that rise from the endless Maasai Steppes. In addition to that you will experience large group of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds congregate on these grassy plains, and so do the giraffes. The lake within the park is home to thousands of flamingos and other large birds.

The park also has a high population of birds with more than 400 species having been recorded. Then the driver will transfer you to Arusha/Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home or other destination.
