7 Days Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro Trekking Itinerary
Arrive in JRO - Transfer to Arusha Town.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport the day before your trek, you will be picked up and
driven to your hotel in Arusha. There, you will receive a briefing, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Hotel to Lemosho Gate to Morum Barrier Gate to Shira 1 Camp
From the hotel, drive 4 hours to Lemosho Gate for permits, then continue to
Morum Barrier Gate (3500 m/11,483 ft) for lunch. Start the trek to Shira 1 Camp (3610 m/11,844 ft)
for dinner and overnight stay.
• Destination: Shira 1 Camp

Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp
After breakfast at 7:30 am, leave Shira 1 Camp around 8 am for Shira 2 Camp (3900 m).
It's a 9 km trek taking 4-5 hours. Enjoy lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay at Shira 2 Camp,
with an option to pass by Cathedral Point.
• Destination: Shira 2 Camp
• Meal: Full Board
Shira 2 Camp to Baranco Camp(Acclimatization)
After breakfast at 7:30 am, leave Shira 2 Camp around 8 am for Baranco Camp. Pass by
Lava Tower at 4600 m for acclimatization and lunch, then continue to Baranco Camp at 3900 m.
This is a 10 km trek taking 5-6 hours. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Baranco Camp.

Baranco Camp to Karanga Camp
After breakfast at 8:00 am, leave Baranco Camp around 9 am for Karanga Camp (4000 m).
This is a 6 km trek taking 3-4 hours. Enjoy lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay at Karanga Camp

Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
After breakfast around 8:00 am, depart from Karanga Camp for a trek to Barafu Camp at 4,673 meters.
Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and dinner, and prepare for the midnight summit climb attempt. At midnight,
you will start your journey to the summit. Get to the top of mount Kilimanjaro today!
• Destination: Barafu Camp
• Meal: Full Board
Kili Summit to Barafu Camp to Mweka Camp to Mweka
After reaching the summit, return to Barafu Camp for a short break and brunch.
Then, continue to Mweka Camp at 3100 meters, a 12 km trek taking about 13 hours in total.
Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Mweka Camp.
• Destination: Summit to Barafu Camp / Mweka Camp
• Meal: Full Board
Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate- Transfer to Arusha
After breakfast around 7:30 am, depart from Mweka Camp at 3,100 meters for a 3 hours walk to Mweka Gate
at 1,600 meters. From there, drive to Mvuli Hotel in Arusha for an overnight stay.
