Day 1

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) – Transfer to Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania!

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will complete immigration and customs formalities before being warmly welcomed by a Connect African Safaris representative. Your professional safari guide will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha, a journey of approximately 45 to 60 minutes through the scenic foothills of Mount Meru.

After checking in, take time to relax, recover from your journey, and prepare for the exciting safari adventure ahead. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at your lodge and receive a safari briefing from your guide, who will provide an overview of your itinerary and answer any questions before your wildlife adventure begins.

Day 2

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Start your day with an early breakfast at the hotel to fuel up for a day of exploration. After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. The drive takes approximately 2 hours. Arrive at Tarangire National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. You will embark on a full-day game drive where you can expect to see various wildlife including lions, giraffes, Elephants, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area within the park while taking in the beautiful surroundings. After a full day of wildlife viewing, head to Osupuko Lodge located near Tarangire. Enjoy dinner at the lodge’s restaurant followed by an overnight stay.

Day 3

Tarangire - Serengeti National Park

Wake up early at Osupuko Lodge and enjoy breakfast before departing for Serengeti National Park. The journey to Serengeti takes about 4-5hours depending on road conditions. Arrive in Serengeti around midday. enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch provided by the camp staff. Look out for the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros) as well as other wildlife species unique to this region. After your game drive, heading to Serengeti Serena Lodge for dinner and settle in for an overnight stay that provide a unique safari experience.

Day 4

Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Start your day with breakfast served at the Lodge before heading out again into the vast plains of Serengeti. Spend another full day exploring different areas of Serengeti National Park. Your guide will take you to prime locations based on recent wildlife sightings. A picnic lunch will be provided during this excursion. In the evening after another exciting day of game viewing, return to Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

Serengeti Half Day - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Have breakfast then set off for a half-day game drive in Serengeti once more before leaving this incredible park behind. Caring a packed lunch during this morning's adventure as you continue exploring until it's time to depart towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In the afternoon, make your way towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area which is about a 2-hour drive from Serengeti depending on road conditions. Check into your accommodation within Ngorongoro area. Relaxing and waiting for dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Day 6

Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Have breakfast while enjoying breathtaking views from your accommodation before preparing for full day crater tour. Depart early morning for a guided tour into Ngorongoro Crater—a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich biodiversity including large populations of lions and rhinos among other species. After exploring the crater thoroughly, begin making your way back toward the lodge for dinner overnight.

Day 7

End of Safari

Enjoy a final half-day crater tour in the morning up to afternoon. After the tour, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight. The transfer takes approximately 4-5 hours.
