The tour offers you the opportunity to visit the Mikumi National Park which has over time progressed to be a wildlife safari destination filled with amazing activities. Located 283 km west of Dar es Salaam, the park was established in 1964 and up to now is widely considered the country’s 4th largest national park.

2 Days Mikumi National Park Game Drive Experience Itinerary
Dar-es-Salam – Mikumi National Park
Meet at your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 6:30 am.
Transfer to Mikumi NP via Morogoro town.
Our tour guide/driver will drive you from Dar to Mikumi National Park. This road journey will take about 6 hours, giving you a good view of African village and township life along the road. On arrival in Mikumi, you will check in at the lodge and refresh. This will be followed by hot lunch. After lunch you will get some well deserved rest at the lodge. Later on in the afternoon you will visit the nearby Maasai Boma village for cultural tourism. The Masai are a popular local tribe found in Tanzania and Kenya. Return to the lodge afterwards for evening relaxation, hot dinner, and overnight stay.

Mikumi National Park – Dar es Salaam
Early morning game drive at Mikumi Park until about 10:00 AM.
This tour starts very early while animals are still active looking for food and water. Experience the morning life of African wildlife.
What will you see during game drive in Mikumi NP?
At this park you will get an opportunity to see the most fascinating animals in the park like huge African elephants, king of the jungle Lion, Wild dog, Zebras, Giraffes, Impalas, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, one of the biggest antelope in the world, the Eland, Hartebeest, Crocodile, Lizards, and other residents. The Park also has over 300 species of birds that have been observed.
Afterwards you will exit the national park and begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam. You will enjoy additional game drive en-route the road that cuts through the national park. Stop for lunch at a restaurant in Morogoro. Drop off will be at your selected hotel, hostel, or airport.
