3-DAY MIKUMI PARK SAFARI (STARTS IN ZANZIBAR VIA FERRY) Itinerary

Day 1

Travel From Zanzibar to Mikumi via Dar es Salaam

The adventure starts early in the morning with the ferry trip from Stone town to Dar. Depart from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi. The drive to Mikumi National Park is typically takes about 4 hours and a half. On your way, stop for lunch at a restaurant along the route. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the stunning landscapes of the park, characterized by open grasslands and acacia woodlands. Head directly to the Lodge/Tented Camp for check-in. Take some time to relax after your long drive in your accommodation until around 5:00 PM, depart for a cultural tour at a nearby Maasai boma (village). This immersive experience allows you to learn about the rich culture and traditions of the Maasai people

Day 2

Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

Start your day with breakfast served at the lodge around 0700 AM. Depart from the lodge by 7:30 AM for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. Your guide will lead you through various habitats within the park where you can spot diverse wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and numerous bird species like storks and herons, also Your guide will provide insights into animal behaviors and ecological dynamics throughout the drive. Around midday take a break for lunch inside the park restaurant. After lunch, resume your game drive exploring different parts of the park. In the evening heading back to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 3

Departure Back to Zanzibar via Dar es Salaam by Ferry

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge one last time before checking out. After breakfast, begin your return trip to Dar es Salaam and drop off at the ferry station for your onward journey to Zanzibar.
