Day 1

Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

Morning ferry (07:00 am) from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam (approx. 2 hours).
Upon arrival at the Dar es Salaam ferry terminal, meet your safari driver-guide for a warm welcome and safari briefing.
Depart for Mikumi National Park (approx. 5–6 hours drive) with scenic views of rural life and the Uluguru Mountains along the way.
Lunch en route at Morogoro.
Afternoon arrival at Mikumi and check in to your lodge/ Camp.
Late afternoon visit to the Maasai Village for cultural tour (1-2 hours)
Dinner and overnight at your chosen lodge near the park.

Day 2

Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

Early breakfast, then head for a full-day game drive across the Mkata floodplains — famous for their resemblance to the Serengeti.
Spot lions, elephants, zebras, impalas, giraffes, wildebeests, hippos, and a rich variety of birdlife.
Picnic lunch inside the park.
Continue exploring different habitats, including acacia woodlands and waterholes frequented by wildlife.
Dinner and overnight at the same lodge/camp.

Day 3

Mikumi – Dar es Salaam – Zanzibar

Relaxed breakfast at the lodge.
Depart from Mikumi and drive back to Dar es Salaam (approx. 5–6 hours).

Afternoon ferry from Dar es Salaam back to Zanzibar (arriving around 18:00).
