This private safari begins and ends in Dar Es Salaam. Customers can also select to start from Zanzibar and travel to Dar Es Salaam by the morning Ferry or fly directly from Zanzibar to Selous Mtemere Air strip. Please note that ferry or flight fare is not included in this package.
You will visit Nyerere National Park, which is one of the hidden gems of the East African wildlife safari circuit, located in the southern part of Tanzania. You will be able to witness many wild animals, and flora, and hear birds chirping as you move closer to nature. On the first day you will arrive and have your lunch at your selected lodge/ Camp before going for the afternoon Boat Safari with your guide.

Day 2: Full day in the national park doing game drives, spotting animals, and photography safari with our guide
Day 3: Early morning cultural tour of the nearby Maasai village

Dar es Salaam to Nyerere NP
Your driver will pick you up in at your hotel and take you to Nyerere National Park. The estimated transfer time is 5 hours. We’ll drop you off at the lodge so you can check in, refresh and enjoy a hot lunch. You will depart for a boat safari along the powerful Rufiji River in the late afternoon. Numerous animal species, including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, giraffes, and several bird species, may be found in the Rufiji River. Other large cats including lions, leopards, and others may be seen drinking from the river. You will also observe some of the nearly 350 wildlife species that have been spotted in this park. Overall, this is a wonderful way to appreciate Tanzania’s wildlife and scenery in this less traveled southern tourism circuit.
The Boat safari takes about one and half to two hours.

Game Drive
Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the park for a full day of game viewing. This will provide you the chance to see and appreciate the authentic beauty of African wildlife.
Lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, bush buck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras, and the bigger kudus are among the animals you will see. You may visit several areas of the park and get amazing photos on our 4×4 safari land cruiser.
You will take a hot bush lunch break after midday. This break will allow you to rest and stress your legs a bit. This is a very big park compared to Mikumi, so our guide will spend the afternoon driving you to various other areas of the park in search of pride of lions and other big cats.
You will be dropped off at the lodge/ tented for dinner and overnight later in the evening.

Maasai village-Dar es Salaam
Visit the nearby Maasai village for a lovely cultural experience today after your breakfast. The Maasai's are hunter gatherers who also tend to cattle in large numbers. This indigenous tribe is found in Kenya and Tanzania.
You will return to the lodge after the hike, refresh and enjoy a hot breakfast. Later on you will check out and travel back to Dar es Salaam. Option to fly back to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar is available, please inquire for price details via our email.
